I have once again ventured into paragon City, Virtue server, main character is Atomic Comet (global chat ID is Alendark).

Would love to get some friends playing and start doing things as a group if anyone is interested.

Would REALLY like to get a group together and start new characters, then pick one night a week that we meet to play those characters and only play those characters at that time as a group. Sort of like a weekly gaming session. Unfortunately, with my work schedule 9:30 PM EST is about the earliest I could start with Thursdays being the best day for me right now.

I do believe this game will be the next MMO I step foot into. It looks Fantastic from what I can see so far. Probably still a year away if not more.

Anyone on here still play Never Winter Nights? If so, what server do you play on and what is the basis of the server (RP, story, hack and slash, etc).

I am getting rather bored with WoW since I cant make raid times for the guild I am in and only have a few friends on the server I am playing on. Looking for something new (or old in this case) that can occupy my time from about 10pm EST till 2-3 am EST Mon-thurs.

Also debating trying CoH again, but again...I dont know anyone that plays and I kinda want something I can do with other people since I feel socially isolated in many ways right now due to my work schedule.

On a similar but different front I had an interview for a new position with the same company last Thursday. It went pretty well but they are not making a decision for another 2-3 weeks. Hopefully all goes well and I can get into a position that I will enjoy and does not make me feel like I live on an island by myself and never get to see or do anything with my friends.

R.I.P. Dungeons & Dragons Co-Creator Dave Arneson, 1947-2009

For the second time in just over a year, the dice are silent in the gaming world. News has reached us that Dave Arneson, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, passed away last night at the age of 61.

"The Hope and Dreams of All the Little Things"
Dec. 19-21st event teaser

A small thought stirs in the void quickly darting from light to light seeking a place to flee into. It is pursued by dark creatures. Misshapen creatures that are twisted and wrong and carry a vile aura as if they where torn from another place truly creatures of nightmares. The thought flees and twists and scurries and is almost caught as it leaps into the light.

You awake, sweating the sheer terror of a nightmare you can't remember when it comes back to you. Not knowing what happened just knowing sheer terror of flight. And what was it you saw when you awoke... Was that a claw reaching through a small opening... Or was that part of the nightmare as well?

You find out others have had this same nightmare....

Outside you see the smoke in the distance. You see patrols of heavily armored undead more frequently. From time to time you hear a blood curling scream as if someone had lost all hope and their very essence was being stripped from them....

What is coming? What plagues you both during the day and the night?

And why in the back of your mind can you feel small presences. Some people talk of insects and others of animals. They feel like they may be inside your mind... hiding, taking refuge?

A wandering man wearing ragged clothes is seen walking through the night mumbling to himself and flees whenever someone gets too close, and a darkness follows his path...

B and I will be larping at Camp Kiwanis in Mason MI this weekend. I know its short notice, but we have some friends who LIVE in mason if they felt so inclined to stop out and say HI!

Also, I will be running the kitchen, so if you come out to the event you will get to enjoy 3 meals cooked by yours truly. (the event is free if its your first time, the food is $10 for all 3 meals I believe. So if its your first time you can enjoy a weekend of boffer larping and some of my "terrible" cooking for just $10).

Time for me to go get ready for work.

Anyone know where I can get some small size books (no more then 5 inches on a side). Topics can be varied but I would ideally prefer things like astrology, the occult, paranormal, magic, mysticism, ghosts, folk lore/folk tales, etc etc.

I need roughly 30-50 different books and I would prefer not to spend a fortune on them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
